Life continues on at the shelter and cat cafe as Maruru and Hachi learn to adjust even more.

I absolutely love learning more about Roku in this volume – even with his tough demeanor he still loves and cares for the kittens on his turf and you can tell he’s lost so many over the years. Hachi and Roku even start seeing eye to eye a little more as Roku recovers and starts taking care of the kittens.

I also love Maruru’s time in the cafe and how much he just loves hamming it up because he just loves people but then he meets the top cafe cat, Onigiri, who is fiercely protective of his Top Cat status.
