My name is Alisha, but online I can be found as booksmellz. I’m from Kansas City, Missouri and I am currently a Reference and Readers’ Advisory Associate at the Central Library of my public library. I’ve always been an avid reader, but its been the last few years that I’ve really taken the time to sit down, digest, and review every book that I’ve read. I was tired of not having a good reason for my book recommendations other than, “I really liked it!”.
In the past I’ve gravitated towards Young Adult and dystopian fantasy. I’ve been reading out of my comfort zone more and more each year. Lately I’ve been enjoying adult fiction, fantasy/sci-if, new adult, middle grade, and graphic novels. Sometimes I try to push myself even further out of my comfort zone by reading nonfiction and poetry. I’m always willing to give a book a try if it sounds interesting to me.

This blog will be my place to gather everything I love about books and why, including my book reviews, lists, and possibly personal entries. The possibilities are out there and I’m still discovering them.
